Svetlanna “Lanna” Gargantiel graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Early Childhood Education from the University of California, Los Angeles–go Bruins! She is currently pursuing her teaching credentials at Loyola Marymount University–go Lions! She was a preschool teacher for 13 years prior to joining the St. Brendan School teaching staff in 2016 as a kindergarten aide. In the fall of 2023, she became the transitional kindergarten teacher as St. Brendan School launched its new TK program.

Lanna believes that all children have unlimited potential, and she strives to help them realize their abilities. “One teacher can shape a child, and one child can shape the world!”

In her spare time, Lanna loves to dance, play sports, and travel with her family.  She also loves to sing and continues to serve in the music ministry at St. Vibiana of Cathedral Chapel in Los Angeles and St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Tustin. When Lanna isn’t cheering on the St. Brendan Bears at their sports games, she is often found at  Dodger Stadium rooting for the L.A. Dodgers, at the Crypto Arena cheering on the L.A. Clippers, and at the Rose Bowl or Pauley Pavilion rooting for the UCLA Bruins.
