Marilyn Fuentes

Kindergarten Aide

St. Brendan alumna, Marilyn Fuentes, was born in Los Angeles and grew up in Hancock Park. In 1991, she began her journey in the St. Brendan School community. She and her siblings had the honor of being students of the amazing Miss Malabicky. Marilyn attended Immaculate Heart High School and then graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Disorders from California State University, Los Angeles. She began working as an Early Intervention Specialist with young children at risk for communication delays. She also assisted students with autism spectrum disorders in their social skills classes.

In 2014, Marilyn was proud to return to St. Brendan School as a parent with her two sons, Luis and Matteo. In 2022, she helped in her nephew Samuel’s kindergarten class, and she loved it so much that in the fall of 2023, she began working with Ms. Herman and Mrs. Nemoianu as a kindergarten aide!

Marilyn strongly believes that every child is “a gift from the Lord”, and working with children is a “reward from him.”-Psalm 127:3
