Jane Kim

3rd Grade Teacher

Jane Kim was born in Glendale, CA, but spent her early years in Korea before her family relocated back to the Glendale area. After graduating from La Sierra University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies, she spent five years teaching, mentoring, and tutoring in Birmingham Charter High School, Glendale Adventist Academy, and Glendale and Pasadena USD elementary schools. In June 2023, she graduated from La Sierra University with a Master of Arts degree in Teaching and joined the St. Brendan School family in the fall of 2023. She believes that teachers are also learners first and should constantly strive to become better educators.

Jane’s passion as a teacher is to help students develop and nurture their own love for learning as thoughtful, curious problem solvers. She believes in implementing a well-rounded education that promotes the growth of all students intellectually, spiritually, socially, and more. In her classroom, success is defined as not only academic achievements, but the overall well-being of students.

When Jane is not teaching, she loves cooking, reading, picnicking, arts and crafts, solving puzzles, going to museums, watching movies, and spending time with her family, friends, and loved ones.
