4th Grade Teacher
Chelsea Calleja, a member of the 2006 graduating class of St. Brendan School, attended Notre Dame Academy and later graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from UC Riverside. She is currently attending Loyola Marymount University to obtain her California Teaching Credential and Master of Arts in Urban Education. She will be graduating in May 2020!
Out of college, Chelsea served as an AmeriCorps member through City Year Los Angeles, in which her love for mentoring and teaching young students was nurtured. Chelsea’s goal as an educator is to provide her students with a positive learning environment filled with compassion, love, and support. She believes in the power of young people and nothing gives her more happiness than being able to play a vital role in the growth of young minds. Everything has come full circle for Chelsea, as of 2019, as she transitions to teaching 4th grade!
Chelsea and her family have been active parishioners of St. Brendan Church since she and her younger sister attended St. Brendan School. When Chelsea is not in the classroom, she loves playing, coaching, and watching basketball (Go Lakers!). She enjoys attending sporting events and concerts, trying new restaurants in Los Angeles, and hanging out with her family and friends!
