Leigh Green Perry
Leigh Green Perry began teaching theater arts and film acting after graduating from the University of Texas in Austin with a Bachelor of Science degree. After working a few years in the Los Angeles film industry, she returned to teach 1st grade and theater arts at Corpus Christi School in the Pacific Palisades.
Leigh began the theater arts program at Corpus Christi School while completing her graduate degree with a Master of Arts in Education at Loyola Marymount University. In 2016, Leigh joined the St. Brendan School community as the 2nd grade teacher. As her professional growth continues in 2021, Leigh is now the Reading Specialist for grades kindergarten to 8th grade.
Her own Catholic faith led her to embrace the philosophy of teaching to the whole student and to support the student in becoming a life-long learner. Philosophy is defined in the dictionary as the "love of wisdom and the search for it." Leigh holds this ideal of philosophy as a model for her own educational setting. She is motivated to provide and promote the ability to continuously learn, analyze and face challenges and changes in society. As a teacher, Leigh’s ideal role in education is to mold future graduates into individuals that contain an excitement for knowledge and a respect for themselves and others.
